At Brethren Housing Association, volunteers allow us to redirect funds that would have been spent on supplies or labor into the life-changing programs we provide. Together, we can help families build brighter futures.
Adopt-An-Apartment: Transform an empty apartment into a welcoming home for a single parent and their children. Clean, furnish, and decorate a space that offers safety and comfort as they start their new journey. Perfect for church groups, civic organizations, businesses, or families looking to give back meaningfully.
Youth Program: Bring joy and stability to a child’s life by volunteering in our youth program on Monday evenings. While moms attend Life Skills classes, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with kids through activities, games, and mentorship.
Donate Supplies: Help families feel prepared and supported by donating essential items such as cleaning products, hygiene items, or gift cards to Walmart or Target. This is an ideal group activity for youth organizations or even a creative birthday party initiative.

Work Groups: Put your hands to work! Join our Property Manager in tackling renovation projects, maintenance tasks, painting, or cleaning. Opportunities are available for both youth and adult workdays.

Event Committees: Use your organizational skills and creativity to plan meaningful events like our Golf Tournament, Little Black Dress Soiree, or Annual Celebration. Make a difference while having fun!
Board Committees: Use your professional expertise to guide BHA’s growth and success. Serving on a board committee offers an impactful way to lend your skills to our mission.

Move-Out Volunteer: Help families transition to the next phase of their journey by assisting them in moving out of their BHA apartment and into their new home.
