Holiday Opportunities

We have several opportunities to support the families at BHA during the holidays.  Here are some of the ways in which you as individuals, families, small groups or entire churches can support the BHA families during the holiday season:

 

Christmas Adopt-A-Family

Help provide a special Christmas to our BHA families! Choose the family size you would like to adopt and provide gifts for each family member in the household. BHA participants will provide a wish list for each family member which will include something they need, something they want, something they can wear and something they can read. Using this list, your group will purchase the items, wrap and label each gift and deliver the gifts to BHA during the week of December 16th.

* Please note: This year, we are asking that you only adopt between 1 - 4 families per group in each category, so that other groups have the opportunity to adopt families to help as well.

 

Holiday Meals

Thank you for choosing to provide a holiday dinner for a family at BHA. 

All Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner boxes should contain the list of items below:​

  • Instant mashed potatoes (1 large box)

  • Stuffing mix (1 large box)

  • Cranberry sauce (1 can)

  • Turkey gravy mix (2 packets or jars)

  • Green beans (2, 14 oz. cans)

  • Mixed vegetables or corn (2, 14 oz. cans)

  • Applesauce (1 large can or jar)

  • Family size boxed dessert mix or store-made pie

  • Rice or Noodles (1 large bag or box)

  • $25 gift card to Giant, Weis, or Walmart for the family to choose the meat for their meal

Basic Needs Donation Drive

​Items Needed Urgently:

  • Toilet paper

  • Paper towels

  • Laundry soap

  • Multi-purpose cleaner

  • Toilet cleaner

  • Floor cleaner

  • Dish soap

  • Shampoo and conditioner

  • Body wash

  • Hand soap

  • Deodorant

  • Baby wipes

*Please do not buy bulk sized items. We also do not need toothbrushes or toothpaste at this time.
