Day 4 of 28 days at BHA

BHA has been able to grow into the organization that it is today through the faithful leadership of its Executive Directors. From its founding in 1989 through 1993, leadership was provided by Gerald Rhodes through his role as Director of Community Ministries at Harrisburg First Church of the Brethren. As BHA continued to grow and serve more families, it required more time and John Nantz was hired as the first paid staff in 1993. He retired in 2000 and Roger Steffy served from 2000 to 2003 and Steve Schwartz served from 2004 to 2015. Crystal Brown is the current Executive Director and is continuing to carry out the mission and touch the lives of those in need. Join us to continue meeting the needs of our community and take the 28th Year Challenge. Make a recurring monthly gift of $28 to help provide a family with a home and hope.
