Front Doors Replaced with Help of Junior League
 
Through a grant from the Junior League of Harrisburg, Inc., we've been replacing many of the front doors of our properties.

Over the years, we've worked hard to rehab our properties and make them a beautiful place to live.

The families that come to us are dealing with the stress of ending up homeless and the stigma that brings. Therefore we desire to provide a loving, dignified home setting while they start their journey of growth and healing.

One of the final items needing upgrading on several of our properties was the front door. As you can see from the before and after examples below, we put the Junior League's money to good use. Thanks Junior League!

And special thanks to Jerry Stouffer, Ed Good, Alex Groff and Dennis Saylor for all their hard work on this project!

Shamira Passed Her Driver's Test!
 
Congratulations to Shamira! She's been studying hard and doing a lot of practice driving with our case manager, Chris Patrick. And yesterday, she got her driver's license! As I write this, she and Miss Chris are out car shopping.

BHA Work Day -- November 11
 
Our next BHA Work Day is this Saturday, November 11, from 8:30am to 11:30am. We'll be working on getting a couple apartments ready for new families.

If you can help, give our Property Manager Dennis Saylor a call at (717) 233-6016, or e-mail him at dsaylor@bha-pa.org, so that he can properly prepare for the amount of volunteers joining us. Thanks for your consideration.
