Day 17 of 28 Days of BHA

In 2010, the Light House Youth Program was launched. It provides weekly programming and supportive services to children 0-18 whose mothers are in the Transitions program. Lesson plans are developed based on age groups and focus on themes such as art, food, gardening, goal setting and health/fitness. A variety of lesson plans are taught to encourage self-esteem and support the children as they are developing self-regulation and conflict resolution skills. The trauma informed model of programming is focused on safety and resiliency. If you are interested in volunteering with the Light House Youth Program, contact Heather Cotignola-Pickens at 717-233-6016 or hcotignola-pickens@bha-pa.org.  Join us to continue meeting the needs of our community and take the 28th Year Challenge. Make a recurring monthly gift of $28 to help provide a family with a home and hope.
